The revolution starts in the kitchen. You are what you eat and to eat healthy does not need to be expensive.
Every week we pay around 50 Euro and it is enough for the two of us and our three dogs. We always buy a lot of vegetables and fruits. We try to choose the seasonable offers and what is coming from the area.
Additionaly we buy pasta, flour, rice and oatflakes. All integral. Before we did not do, but recently we discovered how much better the integral is. You get much more nutritions, specially vitamins, proteins and fibers. You need to eat less of it, because your body gets everything what it needs and it is more tasty.
For example today we made a greek pasta salad with peas and feta.
We also buy yoghurt, a little bit of milk and some eggs. We do not buy meat or fish. The proteins that we need we get from legumes, the milk products and nuts. Also very good are the oatflakes. For the iron we eat spinach and cook in an iron pan.
Neither we buy candys, chocolate or bakery stuff. Instead we try to make sweets by ourselves.
Today in the evening we ate another pancake tower. This time banana-fig with chocolate sauce, coconut, dried grapes and mint.
