The neverending journey was inspired by my search for the meaning of life. I imagine life as a neverending journey, but where does this journey brings us?
This question I cannot answer for you. What I can say, that creating this painting brought me to a discovery of myself and a new way to look at life and happiness.
The sea turtle was inspired by the hindu mithology, where one incarnation of the god Vishnu is a giant tortoise, that carries the Mount Mandara on its back. I imagined him as a flying sea turtle, flowing gently through life. After I painted the picture, I read the book “The cafe on the edge of the world” and was so happy when I read about the green sea turtle giving us a life lesson of swimming with the flow. I found it really fitting to this painting, and to what I hope the viewer will feel. I hope you feel empowered in living your dreams, to follow your heart and go with an open mind through this journey, called life.
