We are all connected

MAGIC IS REAL.

It all began with love at first sight and a travel around the world. The spark for Blueberry Beach were the wonderful people we met on the way, all this amazing experience and our old hippie bus or how we called it: our beach on four wheels.

It started with a travel blog, but then it grew to so much more.

When your dreams get wings, they can carry you beyond your imagination.

.

From the beginning on we wanted to share with you the wonders we discover on our journey, to show you that this world is full of possibilities, that every life is beautiful and that together we can overcome any challenge.

And maybe we still would write the next travel blog for you while picnicking under the stars, but life had other ideas for us.

To be honest, we never actually planned to start a blog. But for not getting lost and understanding everything, let's go back to where everything started:

It all began with love at first sight. In the hottest summer that Hungary had ever seen. Zoe had just walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain and Joshua was stranded in Budapest after a road trip. This is where we met.

Zoe started painting, we danced through the streets of the Danube metropolis and then we set off. We bought an old VW Bus and followed the storks to the south.

It was a wonderful time. Zoe filled one sketchbook after another, Joshua worked on his first novel and we started documenting the journey and sharing it online.

More and more of you joined us on our journey and suddenly we were running a blog. But as I said, life had other plans for us.

First it took us to Portugal. There we bought a piece of land in the mountains and built an ecoship with our own hands in the middle of the forest. Zoe became pregnant and it seemed we had found a new home. But again everything turned out differently.

The two years before there had been already some serious forest fires, but in the third summer flames destroyed everything we had built. All that was left of our dream was ashes and burnt land. We traveled back to Hungary, moved into a small house in the country, but the social atmosphere made us move on again.

For a while we followed the wind as a small family before we were really lucky in Bremen. We met wonderful people and were able to rent a large studio. We finally had the opportunity to work on all the ideas we had collected up to that point.

It was like a wonderful rush. The ideas formed like flowers in a spring meadow: Zoe painted on canvas and began to exhibit, we created our first clothing collection, our first postcard section, stickers and Joshua published his first novel. Suddenly Blueberry Beach was no longer a travel blog, but an art label.

And it still is. Even though we no longer live on the Weser, but in the heart of Leipzig, where we run a studio in the middle of Plagwitz and our little son happily goes to school and rock the chess board. The vision that has driven us from the beginning has also remained: to discover the wonders of this world with you, to show that life is beautiful, that we are all precious and that we can achieve anything together.

When love and travel opened my heart, I found my path to painting. It brought me to a journey within, to the deepest realms of my soul.

Painting is my meditation and my dance, my poem and my prayer, my song to the stars and my love letter to the universe.

With every brushstoke stories come alive, worlds unfold before me, shadows transform into a precious gift and devine maps guide me to a beautiful future.

I offer my paintings as a reminder of our timeless soul and pure heart that carries the magic to create a bright future of love, peace and unity. As a reminder that „you are not one drop in the ocean, you are the ocean in a drop.“

God gave me wings to fly - so my life became a wonderful flight: through the city streets of the Ruhr area and Berlin, over the snow-covered peaks of the Alpujjaras into the endless world full of wonder and adventure.

I never got bored by it. Well, once a little bit, in first grade. But my teacher had perhaps her best idea at the time: Joshua, leave the other children alone and write your stories.

I did that and everything turned out well. In fact, I never stopped writing again.

I was once a professional musician, toured Europe for many years, had my own studio in Berlin Kreuzberg as an artist, and traveled halfway around the world with Zoé, but the magic of the written word was always with me. So I worked as a freelance author for school book publishers, daily newspapers and magazines.

But what I really want is to tell stories. On the one hand, they are self-therapy, an inner journey back to the stars and simply one of my absolute favorite activities, but on the other hand, I also firmly believe that books have the power to change our mindset, are a guide to a better future and an anchor for our soul.
