One thing we learned on our travel: How to turn shit to gold.
A very useful skill not only on the road but in life in general. It means, that you can turn every disadvantage to an advantage. If you feel miserable about something or if you feel happy is the same effort, its up to you, its your decision.
Maybe you already know from Instagram that our car broke down on Saturday. It is part of vanlife, specially when you travel with an old car. We have been here so many times, standing on the side of the road, waiting for the truck to tow us.
We slept two nights in a forest, and for one night we took a hotel until our car got repaired. We forgot to take Hugó’s bathtub to the hotel, but another thing we learned on travel is to improvise.
We somehow really do not like to hotel rooms, we prefer thousand times to sleep in our car. So we were really happy when we got our car back and could hit the road again.
Vanlife means for us first of all freedom.
But not only this, it means so much more. It allows us to spend time with each other and to be next the ones that we love.
We can be on places that we love, outside.
Every step feels like walking in paradise. And from all our footsteps flowers grow.
It gives you the chance to discover life and even yourself from new perspective.
Maybe we gave in the beginning of the article a wrong impression. Actually, vanlife is kind of easy going. Imagine, you can just put your legs up and discover all the wonders of the world in your living room.
Also you realize that life does not need to be so expensive. We do not have to pay rent, nor bills and sometimes we can even collect our food.
And Hugó loves it.
We can cuddle all day.
He can play with our dogs in the sunshine.
And can already develop important skills of life.
